Celebrate Florida Studio Theatre

Congratulations to the Florida Studio Theatre, in Sarasota, on the success of their two latest productions, which I dialect-coached. They are the Florida premiere of Catherine Bush’s Grandma Gatewood Took a Walk (running through March 8) and the Southeast premiere of Deborah Brevoort’s The Blue-Sky Boys (running through March 15). This brings to 12 the number of productions I have coached for this wonderful theatre.

In related news, the theatre is currently undergoing a large expansion. The new McGillicuddy Arts Plaza, an eight-story building, will eventually house three theatres plus a dining area, artist housing units and a parking garage. The first of three “acts” is expected to be completed in August 2027, while fundraising is still ongoing for acts two and three. For more information, visit FloridaStudioTheatre.org.

Don’t forget to visit my Dialect Recordings for Plays & Musicals page, which gives details of the more than 100 productions I have already dialect-designed and are immediately leasable. But if you don’t see your production listed, remember that, as I have done with the Florida Studio Theatre, I can create a new dialect design and coach your actors.
